Overview

As Portfolio Risk & Governance Specialist, you will help govern strategic investments and manage portfolio risk across Enterprise Portfolio Management and Central Risk. You will provide governance, oversight and data-driven insights to support executive decisions, while promoting transparency and collaboration across diverse teams. Your work will influence investment priorities and help maintain portfolio health in a fast-paced environment. This role sits at the heart of our Corporate function, shaping how we allocate resources to power communities and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Align investment decisions with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and risk frameworks
  • Provide governance and constructive challenge to executive decision-making
  • Monitor and escalate portfolio risks with early warning indicators
  • Produce high-quality risk reporting and governance information for visibility and action
  • Support governance forums, investment boards and portfolio reviews with insights and recommendations
  • Promote transparency, continuous improvement and shared ownership across the portfolio
  • Leverage data-driven analysis to guide investment priorities and portfolio performance
  • Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence outcomes
  • Contribute to capital investment planning and maintain portfolio health
  • Identify opportunities to improve governance processes and ways of working

Key requirements

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building across functions
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including presentations

  • Knowledge of portfolio risk governance and its importance for strategic delivery
