Overview
In this role you will advise on planning and infrastructure matters within a respected firm’s Planning & Environmental team. You will handle complex projects, including development consent orders and infrastructure regimes, while supporting跨-team collaboration and business growth. The position offers exposure to major projects and a clear path for progression in a collaborative, high-calibre environment. You will help shape planning strategies and build strong client relationships to drive results.

Responsibilities
- Advise on developmental consent orders for NSIPs and related infrastructure projects
- Manage infrastructure consenting regimes and examination processes
- Handle Town and Country Planning Act matters, including applications and appeals
- Negotiate section 106 and highways agreements and related docs
- Provide planning input on corporate, real estate, energy, and infrastructure transactions
- Collaborate with the Transactional Property Group
- Build client relationships and act as trusted adviser
- Support business development and junior colleagues
Key requirements
- Approximately 3–6 years PQE
- Experience advising on DCOs/ICOs and major infrastructure regimes
- Strong Town and Country Planning Act experience
- Experience in energy, transport, utilities or regeneration (advantageous)
- Environmental law experience (beneficial)
- Strong drafting, analytical and technical skills
- Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
