Overview

In this role, you will lead and coordinate complex BlackLine implementations, guiding multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value for customers. You’ll manage relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, shaping delivery strategies and ensuring projects stay on scope, schedule, and budget. You’ll translate customer needs into actionable plans, drive risk management, and identify upsell opportunities to expand value. This role combines program leadership with hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced, finance-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer, partner, and internal stakeholder relationships to secure optimal outcomes
  • Lead presales and delivery activities to assess effort, products, and timing
  • Serve as main point of contact between customer/partner and BlackLine teams
  • Develop delivery strategy for large-scale partner implementations
  • Create customer project plans with budget and resource needs
  • Provide leadership to project teams to meet milestones and responsibilities
  • Define project success criteria and communicate them to stakeholders
  • Provide cross-organizational status updates
  • Track and report project financials; manage budget issues
  • Manage project scope, timeline, and budget changes
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risk
  • Act as escalation point for issues with customers or partners
  • Identify potential upsell opportunities to increase revenue and brand awareness
  • Complete other project duties as assigned

Key requirements

  • 5–8 years in Engagement Management, Project Management, Consulting Services, or Professional Services
  • Solid understanding of Finance processes; familiarity with core Finance workflows across ERP environments
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in revenue-driven project environments (e.g., time and materials billing)
  • Proven track record delivering complex enterprise-level client implementations
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and manage details
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse groups
  • Experience in SaaS or software implementation, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems (SAP and Oracle)
  • Advanced knowledge/experience in Accounting, Audits, Financial Services, Software Technology, SaaS
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to deliver high-quality service and outcomes under pressure and deadlines
