Overview
In this role you will lead people, culture and organisational development to support a merger and a more integrated operating model. You will shape a single organisational identity, strengthen leadership and develop the workforce to enable transformation at scale. You will drive a progressive People and Culture Strategy aligned with quality, productivity, and financial sustainability, while delivering modern, data-driven services to managers and colleagues. This is a high-impact, advisory role reporting to the Group CEO and contributing to the organisation’s five-year transformation plan.

Responsibilities
- Lead people, culture and organisational development for merger and integration
- Create a coherent organisational identity with shared values and leadership expectations
- Strengthen leadership, talent, and succession planning across the Group
- Improve staff experience, engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion
- Support workforce transformation and productivity as models of care evolve
- Develop innovative workforce models aligned to neighbourhood and community-based care
- Modernise People Services using digital tech, automation, data and analytics
- Ensure workforce strategy supports financial sustainability and transformation
- Build relationships with trade unions, staff networks, system partners, universities and the wider NHS
Key requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in transformation, cultural change and workforce modernisation
- Experience with merger, integration or operating model change
- NHS or healthcare experience valuable; ability to work in regulated environments
- Authentic, compassionate, visible leadership with ability to build consensus and trust
- Willingness to work with diverse backgrounds and flexible working
