Head of Global Payments Technology Audit

Overview

In this role you lead technology audit strategy and execution for TikTok’s payments and financial products across APAC and EMEA. You will assess technology risk, security, and regulatory compliance within payments, wallets, lending, and related infrastructure. You’ll influence audit approach across the global fintech ecosystem and maintain regulator relationships. This is a chance to shape assurance for rapidly evolving financial products in a multi-jurisdiction context.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology audit strategies and plans for payment and lending products across APAC and EMEA
• Lead complex, risk-based technology audits from planning to reporting, including risk assessment and issue development
• Collaborate with regulators and supervisory authorities, maintaining constructive relationships in APAC, EMEA, LATAM
• Cover reviews of payment technology architecture, end-to-end processing, security, and data/integration controls
• Provide risk-based recommendations addressing product, engineering, regulatory, and business needs
• Ensure audit quality and drive continuous process improvement
• Partner with engineering and product teams to advise on design and implementation of technology solutions

Key requirements

• 5+ years of progressive compliance or technology auditing experience within payments/fintech/lending or related bodies
• Strong understanding of payment regulations and control environments for compliance
• Experience building audit plans for payments/FinTech entities in APAC or EMEA and leading audits independently
• Experience working with regulators on payment-related regulations
• Analytical ability to assess complex technology environments against risk outcomes
• Excellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills
• Strong professional judgment for risk-based decisions in evolving environments
