Overview
In this role you support high-value corporate lending transactions within a leading global law firm, handling end-to-end financing from term sheets to closing. You will draft and negotiate facility and intercreditor agreements, supervise junior team members, and manage multi-jurisdictional matters with local counsel. You’ll build relationships with banks and corporate clients, often via client secondments, and develop AI-enabled capabilities to enhance practice efficiency. This is a hybrid, client-facing position within a collaborative Global Loans and Global Markets team.

Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements and intercreditor agreements
- Draft, review and negotiate security documents
- Liaise with local counsel on multi-jurisdictional matters
- Supervise other team members and coordinate transaction completion
- Develop and manage client relationships with banks and corporate clients
- Engage in client secondments to strengthen relationships and commercial skills
- Mentor junior teammates and collaborate with wider practice groups
- Contribute to cross-practice networking within the firm
- Use Harvey and other AI solutions to support work and develop AI capabilities
- Lead client calls and negotiate with counterparts
- Advise clients and coordinate transaction closing
- Support business development activities and client growth initiatives
- Contribute to firm’s D&I and Corporate Responsibility initiatives
Key requirements
- Strong general banking experience with a focus on corporate lending
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents in private practice
- Adaptable, ambitious, fast learner with multi-jurisdictional experience
- Team-player with effective collaboration across levels
- Client-facing experience and ability to respond to client needs
