Overview

As Product Owner in the Trustee & Depositary team, you will steer a major re-platforming program that enhances how the business delivers value. You’ll partner with the Product Manager and work with Product, Technology, and Operations to define future-state capabilities and ensure compliant, fit-for-purpose solutions. You will own requirements, prioritisation, and delivery outcomes, and use data-driven insights to refine priorities. This role offers a chance to shape transformation in a regulated, global financial services environment and to apply AI responsibly to improve delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Own requirements definition, prioritisation and delivery across Scrum teams for the re-platforming initiative
  • Lead definition and refinement of product requirements from stakeholders and data sources to ensure compliant, fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Collaborate across Product, Technology and Operations to drive joined-up delivery and manage dependencies
  • Monitor business and product trends to inform prioritisation and adjust delivery plans
  • Track delivery and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in outcomes and ways of working
  • Use influence to maintain momentum through ambiguity, coaching less-experienced team members
  • Champion pragmatic improvement and explore tools, automation and AI to improve delivery efficiency and outcomes

Key requirements

  • Solid experience as a Product Owner in agile, cross-functional environments
  • Hands-on delivery capability including requirements definition and backlog ownership
  • Ability to influence decisions and build alignment across teams
  • Experience as a subject matter expert in complex delivery or transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of data’s role in platform transformation and data-related requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous, evolving environments
  • Clear, effective communication for complex topics and decisions
  • Curious, improvement-oriented mindset with interest in AI applications for smarter teamwork
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries, preferably custody/depositary/fund oversight
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related discipline
