Priory HospitalChelmsford is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join theteam. 

Priory Hospital Chelmsford,Chelmsford, Essex is a specialist mental health and addictiontreatment centre providing inpatient and outpatient services foradults and young people, including autism and ADHD assessments. Itis accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby andChelmsford railway station approximately 2–3 miles from thehospital. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicleor the ability to drive isrecommended.

You will workeffectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team,promoting the best interests of clients and their carers whileensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely andeffectively. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe andsupportive care environment, exercising professional accountabilityand responsibility, and using your nursing skills, knowledge andexpertise to respond effectively to changing environments. You willwork within the scope of your professional practice and maintainhigh standards of care at all times.

What you’ll bringto the role

Essentialfor the role

  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with active NMCregistration.
  • Minimum of 12 monthspost-registration experience working within a mental health careenvironment and completion of preceptorship programme.
  • Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements andprofessional standards. 
  • Evidence ofongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills. 
  • Positive attitude with acommitment to change, improvement and delivering high-qualitycare. 
  • Ability to work flexibly and useinnovative approaches to care.
