Location: London
Job Description:

At Liz Lean PR, we believe reputations need a human touch – and so do careers. We’re looking for a Senior PR Account Executive to join our team, based at our beachside Sandbanks office headquarters in Dorset and working closely with our wider team based in Wandsworth, London.

If you’ve got around 18 months’ agency experience and you’re ready for more autonomy, more strategic input and your first taste of mentoring, we’d love to hear from you.

WHY LLPR

Established in 1998, Liz Lean PR (LLPR) is one of the South’s leading public relations and reputation management agencies. We take your reputation personally – and that philosophy extends to every member of our team. We’re a close-knit team of creative PR professionals dedicated to building and protecting our clients’ reputations.

As a PRCA Workplace Champions Finalist, we pride ourselves on being a brilliant place to work where people aren’t just excellent communicators – they’re also a pleasure to do business with.

We have the privilege of working with leading regional and national brands, across a multitude of sectors, providing the full spectrum of PR and comms solutions.

From healthcare to hospitality, Fintech to theme parks, we get under the skin of each brand, developing bespoke communications strategies which deliver outstanding results for our clients.

Our unbeatable beachside location in Sandbanks is just one of the reasons that LLPR is a great place to work; our focus on personal growth and wellbeing forms the heart of our supportive team culture.

We’re a values-led agency that believes great work comes from happy people. That means tailored progression plans, paid CIPR membership, your birthday off, a full week’s closure over Christmas on top of annual leave, an annual wellbeing budget, dog-friendly offices and a genuinely nurturing team.

In short, we’re confident our supportive culture – paired with the opportunity to work with brilliant clients – is truly second to none.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A Senior PR Account Executive bridges the gap between Account Executive and Junior Account Manager. You’ll run smaller client accounts independently, start contributing to strategy and campaign planning on bigger ones, and begin guiding junior team members as you go.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Leading media relations activity, from proactive pitching to securing high-quality coverage
  • Building strong relationships with journalists, editors and influencers across your sectors
  • Working with clients to identify newsworthy media angles and suggest best routes to PR success
  • Contributing to PR strategies and campaign plans alongside Account Managers
  • Writing thought leadership, case studies, award entries and briefing documents
  • Leading day-to-day client relationships and participating in client meetings with confidence
  • Developing social media content calendars, writing social-first copy, and producing UGC-style visual content
  • Managing social media channels, including community building and management
  • Mentoring more junior team members where appropriate and reviewing their work before it goes to clients
  • Taking ownership of smaller accounts, or specific workstreams on larger ones
  • Contributing to new business proposals and pitch presentations
  • Executing multi-channel campaigns and reporting on performance against KPIs

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1-2 years of PR agency experience, ideally in a consumer-focused agency within a client facing role
  • A proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage independently
  • Existing understanding of the typical process to securing press coverage and influencer collaborations, and ability to progress deliverables independently
  • Strong media contacts across relevant sectors
  • Established understanding of the role influencers play in PR and comms strategies
  • Experience in running social media channels. Visual content creation experience desirable, but not essential
  • Some experience contributing to campaign planning and strategy
  • Mentoring experience, or a readiness to start developing this skill
  • Confidence managing client relationships, sound judgement and excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, combined with a proactive, can-do approach
  • A relentless focus on excellence, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Confidence to pitch to journalists over the phone, and general excellent telephone manner

THE DETAILS

  • Full time, permanent (37.5 hours per week)
  • Salary: £27,000–£30,000
  • Typical progression: 12–18 months to Junior PR Account Manager, guided by your line manager and further supported by bespoke training tailored to your professional and personal growth
  • Hybrid working after a short qualifying period, with 50% of your time in our offices (core office days being Tuesday and Wednesday)
