Residential Building Surveyor & Valuer – Northumberland

Location: Northumberland (covering Newcastle, Sunderland and surrounding areas)

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, hybrid/flexible working

Type: Permanent (self-employed also considered)

About the role

Our client is a growing independent residential surveying practice in Northumberland, known for its quality-over-quantity approach – typically one survey per day, giving you the time to inspect properly and produce reports you can stand behind.

What you’ll be doing

• RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and RICS Level 3 Building Surveys
• RICS residential valuations
• New-build snagging surveys
• Damp and defect inspections
• Drone-assisted roof inspections where needed
• Managing your own diary and workload

What you’ll need

• RICS qualification (AssocRICS or MRICS), or MCIOB for the right candidate
• Residential surveying experience
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence, own vehicle and business insurance
• Experience with Level 2/3 surveys, valuations, snagging, damp inspections or drone roof surveys is a bonus but not essential. CABE membership is a plus.
