Glasgow North West Citizens Advice Bureau (GNWCAB) is an independent charity founded in 1981. Each year we supportover 5,000 people with over 18k pieces of advice, securing £3.5million for our community. Our mission is to endpoverty and inequality by ensuring that people from all backgrounds are empowered through access to advice thatchanges lives and helps them affect positive change in their lives and the lives of those around them.

About the role
A Help to Claim Adviser delivers a holistic advice and support service aimed at clients on completing their initialUniversal Credit claim and supports them through to their first payment. This involves helping with the onlineforms, the evidence required, and verifying their identity online using telephone and web chat.
The adviser will be expected to complete full holistic issue diagnostics, support with issues in scope of the projectand any emergencies, then refer on to further services available to the client (such as drug and alcoholsupport). The adviser should maintain local connections with partner organisations and the DWP within theirregion.
The adviser will be line managed by their local bureau manager but will be operationally responsible to the Help toClaim Co-ordinators for providing their regional service and local knowledge. They will be required to liaisewith the Co-ordinators regarding their shifts, helpline coverage and holiday requirements.
