The Role
As an Indirect Buyer, you will support the sourcing and management of goods and services that are essential to the efficient running of the business. Categories may include IT equipment, software subscriptions, office supplies, marketing services and other indirect spend areas.
Working across multiple departments and international stakeholders, you will help manage a spend portfolio in excess of $10 million whilst driving cost savings, supplier performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of indirect spend categories across the business
- Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing and commercial terms
- Analyse spending trends and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Assist with supplier selection, evaluation and performance management
- Ensure supplier contracts are maintained, compliant and renewed appropriately
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Support and lead procurement projects involving cross-functional teams
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements and supplier innovations
- Identify and mitigate supply chain and procurement-related risks
- Work closely with finance and operational teams to deliver procurement objectives
About You
We’re looking for a positive, motivated individual who enjoys building relationships and wants to establish a long-term career within procurement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational and analytical ability
- Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions
Desirable
- Indirect purchasing or MRO purchasing experience
- Knowledge of SAP
- Professional procurement qualifications such as CPSM
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
