Overview

In this role you will lead audits for charities and not-for-profit organisations, manage a portfolio and develop teams within PEM’s specialist practice. You will build trusted relationships with charity leaders and trustees, guiding engagements from planning to Partner review and providing value-added advice. The position combines technical excellence with people leadership in a well-established firm that prioritises people and community impact. Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients
  • Build relationships with finance leaders, executives and trustees
  • Lead audits from planning through to completion and Partner review
  • Review financial statements ensuring high quality standards
  • Provide practical, value-added advice on sector-specific challenges
  • Coach and develop audit team members
  • Support business development, tenders and client growth opportunities
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of PEM’s charity and not-for-profit practice

Key requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Significant audit experience within a professional services environment
  • Strong experience working with charities and not-for-profit organisations
  • Sound knowledge of UK GAAP and the Charities SORP
  • Experience managing client portfolios and leading teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
