Partner – Cyber & Data Risk

Overview

In this role you will build and lead a cyber insurance offering within a full-service UK law firm. You will work with insurers and insureds on incident response, data breach and privacy, ransomware, business interruption, and coverage disputes, supported by the firm’s broader corporate, regulatory and disputes capability. The position offers high visibility to shape market positioning and scale the practice, leveraging cross-practice collaboration and a competitive platform. You will drive client relationships, market presence and practical, commercial growth for the cyber offering.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the cyber insurance offering
• Advise insurers and insureds on incident response, data breach/privacy, ransomware, extortion, and coverage disputes
• Shape market positioning and growth strategy for the practice
• Leverage the firm’s wider capabilities to broaden client relationships beyond cyber
• Develop cross-functional relationships to expand the client base and revenue
• Manage and grow the practice with a focus on commercial expansion

Key requirements

• Established portable practice of ~400,000 to 750,000
• Currently operating at Partner or Legal Director level
• In a firm with a recognised insurance or cyber offering
• Strong client relationships and market visibility
• Ambition to grow the practice on a broader platform with competitive rates
