Senior Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead site operations for large-scale build and refurbishment projects, guiding delivery from start to finish. You will work closely with senior project and operations teams to keep programmes, budgets, quality, and safety on track. The position centers on ambitious, high-profile developments in Scotland, including a prestigious St Andrews mixed-use scheme. You drive site performance, manage multiple stakeholders, and ensure high standards of safety and quality while supporting career progression within a respected contractor.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations for large-scale projects from start to finish
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure delivery aligns with programme, budget, quality and safety requirements
• Maintain high health, safety and environmental standards on site
• Develop short-term programmes and address project risks
• Coordinate subcontractor performance to meet specifications and programme requirements
• Liaise with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and senior management for updates and issue resolution
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and timely submissions
• Drive quality assurance processes to meet high standards
• Support the team in identifying efficiencies and delivering outcomes

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale projects with a Tier 1 contractor
• Experience delivering build and refurbishment developments up to 100m
• Proven track record on complex residential, commercial, or mixed-use schemes
• Black CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid certifications
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, health and safety legislation and quality management
• Ability to lead site teams while maintaining programme and budget objectives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Full UK driving licence
• Based in the Tayside region
