Account Director, Capital Markets

Overview

In this Account Director role, you will drive Capital Markets communications for clients, coordinating cross-functional activity to deliver accurate, timely campaigns. You will manage client relationships, oversee media and analyst relations, and contribute to new business and events. The role blends strategic counsel with hands-on execution in a fast-paced agency environment. You’ll work closely with a growing Capital Markets team to shape campaign outcomes and support personal development within a globally recognized agency.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client relationships and expectations
• Coordinate media and analyst relations activities to maximize coverage
• Draft client-facing materials and ensure audience-appropriate messaging
• Support development of new business proposals and pitch presentations
• Plan and organize client events
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members
• Prepare press releases and handle RNS announcements
• Produce coverage research and reports
• Drive social media engagement and monitor digital landscape
• Ensure accurate, high-quality delivery of client programmes

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years communications experience
• Capital Markets experience preferred
• Strong interest in City and Capital Markets communications
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail
• Analytical, creative and inquisitive with strong time management
• Strong understanding of media with ability to run accounts
• Ability to manage RNS announcements and client sign-off
• Knowledge of social media and digital landscape
• Crisis awareness and escalation capability
• Flexible to work out of hours when required
