Overview

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Associate Transport Planner in Bristol to lead development-led transport projects, manage client relationships, and help grow the business. You will oversee Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and transport studies, coordinating with developers, local authorities and internal teams. The role blends project leadership, client management and business development within a flexible, hybrid setup. Responsibilities

  • Lead Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and transport studies
  • Manage projects from brief to completion
  • Be the main client/stakeholder contact
  • Provide transport planning advice to developers and landowners
  • Liaise with local authorities and industry stakeholders
  • Support business development and identify new opportunities
  • Contribute to bids, proposals andWinning new work
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Support growth and development of the business

Key requirements

  • Strong experience in a transport planning consultancy
  • Experience delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and development-related transport studies
  • Good understanding of the UK development planning process
  • Strong project management and client-facing skills
  • Confident communicator with ability to build relationships
  • Commercially aware and interested in BD activities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ideally Chartered Transport Planner / CIHT status (or working towards)
