Product Developer – Accessories

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end accessory development to deliver high-quality, technically sound products that meet performance, sustainability, and compliance standards. You will work closely with Design, Sourcing, Quality, and other teams to ensure on-time, to-spec delivery and clear stakeholder updates. You’ll own the development roadmap, drive technical make-up and fit, and manage vendor collaboration to uphold Gymshark’s quality and claims. Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product development critical path with milestones and risk management
• Lead the technical development of accessories including construction and fit
• Collaborate with Design, Fit, Colour, Raw Materials, Quality, and Sourcing for cross-functional alignment
• Act as the technical point of contact for assigned products and ensure clear communication
• Ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Verify alignment with performance and sustainability claims
• Collaborate with vendors to meet technical specs, timelines, and quality standards
• Maintain and manage technical documentation (tech packs, samples, testing results, development records)
• Provide regular progress updates and key decisions to management and stakeholders

Key requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of accessories construction, fit, and product development
• Understanding of accessories regulations, safety requirements, and testing standards
• Experience managing product development timelines and critical paths
• Technical awareness of related development processes (colour, raw materials, quality)
• Familiarity with sustainability practices, compliance standards, and performance claims
• Experience cross-functional collaboration with Design, Sourcing, Production, and Quality teams
• Excellent organisational skills with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Ability to provide clear, accurate status reporting
• Proficiency in PLM systems, Excel, and other relevant product development tools
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
