Overview
In this role you lead UK tax reporting and transaction analysis for private equity clients within EY’s Belfast Funds Tax team, guiding junior colleagues and contributing to people initiatives. You’ll pursue business opportunities while delivering technically sound, client-focused projects. You’ll shape strategy and operations for the team and help expand the firm’s private equity tax practice. Responsibilities
- Lead the management and delivery of UK tax reporting and UK tax transaction analysis for private equity clients
- Provide development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring
- Contribute to people initiatives including retaining and training the team
- Pursue business development opportunities
- Manage technically complex consulting projects ensuring technical excellence and business-focused outcomes
- Play a significant role in team management, strategy, and junior staff development and assignments
Key requirements
- Relevant tax experience in a similar role
- Technical and practical knowledge advising UK and non-UK Private Equity Houses
- Client-focused and commercially aware
- Strong tax technical skills
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Effective time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify risks, conduct effective reviews, and know when to escalate
- CTA/ ACA / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification or equivalent knowledge
