Overview
In this role you will shape Fresha’s financial strategy to enable rapid global expansion and scale the business. You will partner with the CEO and leadership team to steer growth, profitability, and governance across a fintech/SaaS-driven platform for beauty and wellness. You will lead investor relations, M&A evaluation, and financial operations to support ambitious objectives. This is a high-impact, fast-paced opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and drive operational excellence. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver transparent reporting and robust controls that sustain growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with growth objectives
- Set financial goals, KPIs, and establish planning processes
- Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations
- Lead budgeting and forecasting across the organisation
- Monitor performance against budgets and implement corrective actions
- Manage investor relations, fundraising, and capital structuring
- Build relationships with financial institutions and external stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks via internal controls
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity management, and working capital optimisation
- Implement cash flow forecasting tools and treasury strategies
- Lead audits and regulatory reviews
- Evaluate M&A opportunities, including modelling, due diligence, and negotiation support
- Oversee post-acquisition integration into financial systems
- Build and develop a high-performing global finance team
- Provide coaching and career development within the team
- Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Act as trusted advisor to CEO with financial insights and recommendations
- Identify and implement financial technology and automation solutions
- Drive continuous improvement across the finance function
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline (Master’s or CPA/ACA/ACCA highly desirable)
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in finance or accounting
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive finance position
- Experience in high-growth technology, fintech, marketplace, or SaaS organisations
- Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, modelling, reporting, and accounting standards
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and performance drivers
- Proven ability to design and execute financial strategies for scale
- Experience in investor relations, including fundraising
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven insights
