Overview

As Site Manager for a national top-tier contractor in a growing London business, you will lead multi-trade site operations on a central London mixed-use project. You will manage internal and external packages from demo to fit-out, driving programme delivery and coordinating design information. You will monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement solutions to ensure safety, quality and commercial control. You will collaborate with the Project and Commercial teams to keep stakeholders informed and drive coordinated delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multi-trade site operations including build and MEP packages (focusing on internals)
  • Manage subcontractors across procurement, pre-construction, and on-site delivery
  • Drive programme delivery, short-term planning, and production control
  • Chair and contribute to daily/weekly coordination and collaborative planning sessions
  • Monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement solutions to maintain programme
  • Champion health & safety and ensure works are planned and executed safely
  • Review and coordinate design information, resolving clashes
  • Maintain commercial control of packages, tracking costs, variations, and performance with Project and Commercial teams
  • Ensure quality compliance through inspections and driving defect-free delivery
  • Produce regular progress reporting and keep stakeholders informed

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on 20M+ projects including internals (and ideally complex structures)
  • Full project life cycle experience from groundworks to internals/externals
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (Manager)
  • HNC (or equivalent) in construction
  • Multi-trade coordination
  • Programme delivery and short-term planning
  • Design information review and clash resolution
  • Health and safety leadership
  • Quality inspections and defect-free delivery
  • Commercial awareness and cost tracking
