Overview
In this role you will promote and embed wellbeing across the council, delivering campaigns, events and resources to support physical, mental and social health. You will work within the Employee Engagement, Inclusion and Wellbeing Team to turn People Strategy and Equality Objectives into practical action. You will collaborate with managers, unions and partners to improve employee experience, resilience and sickness absence. Responsibilities
- Promote the Council’s wellbeing offer and drive awareness, participation and engagement
- Plan and deliver wellbeing campaigns, events, workshops and preventative initiatives
- Coordinate the annual Employee Wellbeing Calendar aligned with inclusion priorities
- Develop accessible resources, guidance and communications for staff and managers
- Support delivery and continuous improvement of the wellbeing strategy and service offer
- Use feedback, research and workforce data to prioritise interventions
- Monitor participation and impact, producing reports and recommendations
- Manage wellbeing projects and workstreams from planning to evaluation
- Collaborate with services to translate needs into effective wellbeing support
- Build relationships with colleagues, unions, health partners and external bodies
- Provide informed advice and contribute to policies that improve wellbeing
- Support wider People and Organisational Culture projects and embed cultural themes
- Contribute to improved wellbeing, morale, resilience and organisational performance, including reducing sickness absence
Key requirements
- Experience in developing and delivering wellbeing initiatives, campaigns or programmes
- Ability to analyse and interpret data, trends, feedback and organisational intelligence
- Strong project management and organisational skills; capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and engagement skills; ability to present to diverse audiences
- Ability to build effective working relationships with managers, employees, unions, partners and external organisations
- Confidence in researching issues, producing reports and making evidence-based recommendations
- Proactive, improvement-focused mindset; able to work independently and in a team
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and how it shapes wellbeing and access to support
- Relevant qualification in health, wellbeing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
