SC Cleared Automation Engineer

Overview

In this role you will contribute to building and enhancing automation frameworks and test automation capabilities in a security-cleared environment. You will work within an Agile team to apply testing principles, develop automation against web and API services, and support CI/CD pipelines. The position leverages cloud familiarity (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments to scale automated testing. This is a chance to shape testing strategy and deliver reliable, high-quality services in a forward-thinking organization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of test automation frameworks and tooling
• Apply software testing principles across projects and ensure quality gates in CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Work with tools such as Postman, Selenium, Karate, and Cucumber for automation
• Support or implement testing across APIs, UI, and performance/security domains
• Engage with cloud-based environments (Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) as needed
• Utilize Test Data Tools and related testing utilities
• Address middleware-related messaging and data formats (where applicable)

Key requirements

• SC clearance
• Proven experience with software testing principles and methodologies
• Scripting in Python or Java
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience in Agile environments
• Familiarity with Cucumber BDD
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, Karate)
• Azure cloud familiarity preferred
• Experience with Test Data Tools
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
• Performance and security testing experience
• Knowledge of middleware/messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ, ACE)
• Knowledge of software architecture technologies (XBRL, HTML)
• Finance domain experience (desirable)
