Overview

In this role you will own the end-to-end technical strategy for customer accounts, guiding architecture discussions and platform adoption. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to customer leads while showcasing Databricks as the core of their data and AI strategy. You will shape a growing technical archetype and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex, scalable solutions. Your work directly influences how customers achieve production deployment and value realization at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technical strategy from discovery to production deployment and growth
  • Lead architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade data, ML/AI, and real-time analytics solutions
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customer architects and engineering leaders
  • Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks differentiation through custom solutions
  • Develop and evangelize an emerging technical specialization (archetype)
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver comprehensive customer solutions
  • Provide structured feedback to influence product direction based on customer needs

Key requirements

  • 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or equivalent senior role
  • Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding and debugging experience
  • Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture (pipelines, streaming, lakehouse, cloud-native platforms)
  • Proficient with Databricks Platform and able to develop rapid proficiency in a domain specialty
  • Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders (whiteboarding, design reviews, trade-offs)
  • Experience deploying to public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including security and governance
  • Track record of driving platform adoption and growth within accounts
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
