Overview
In this role you will deliver hydrogeology-focused projects from our London office, contributing to site investigations, monitoring, and assessments across the UK. You will work within a diverse hydrogeology team to support minerals, waste, renewables, property and infrastructure sectors. The role combines fieldwork, data interpretation, and reporting, with opportunities to progress within SLR’s career framework. You will be exposed to a mix of water-related challenges, from licensing and risk assessments to environmental impact work. This is a hands-on position offering travel, hybrid options, and a clear path to professional growth.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct site works, including walkovers, borehole drilling supervision, logging, well installation, and hydrogeological testing
- Implement groundwater and surface water monitoring programmes and manage data collection
- Interpret hydrogeological data and develop Conceptual Site Models
- Assist with hydrogeological risk assessments and hydrogeological impact appraisals, including modelling and reporting
- Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessment water chapters
- Work on projects away from home for short periods; participate in cross-site activities
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver technical outputs
Key requirements
- Relevant academic qualification and membership of a UK/EU recognised organisation (or equivalent)
- One to two years of hydrogeological experience in a consultancy or similar environment
- Experience in water monitoring, site investigation, licences, risk assessments, and EIA
- Ability to work in a team and on own initiative; strong client communication
