Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operational performance across projects, contracts and service teams
- Plan resources, workload, mobilization and delivery priorities
- Monitor safety, quality, programme, customer service and financial performance
- Support project managers with problem-solving, escalation and recovery planning
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat work
- Improve operational procedures, reporting, productivity and consistency
- Manage and develop operational staff with clear objectives and performance expectations
- Collaborate with commercial and estimating teams on budgets, risk, pipeline and handover
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and contractual obligations
Key requirements
- Proven operational leadership within building services, construction, engineering or facilities delivery
- Strong people, client, commercial and performance-management skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities, projects and operational risks
- Practical, accountable and focused on service quality and continuous improvement
- Strong IT, reporting and stakeholder-coordination skills
- Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and maintain reliable processes
- Ability to travel to and work from the Billericay location as required
