Overview

In this role you will build and refine physics-driven models using MATLAB and Simulink to inform early-stage concepts and test environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape system behavior and translate insights into robust simulations. The work blends analytical thinking with hands-on engineering on challenging, concept-driven projects with real-world impact in defence-facing technology. Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine mathematical/physics-driven models using MATLAB and Simulink
  • Analyze interactions within complex systems to guide design decisions
  • Support development of new technologies and prototypes through simulations
  • Engage in model-based systems engineering and contribute to system architectures
  • Contribute to test environments and participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and share insights to drive concepts toward implementation
  • Gain exposure to hardware-in-the-loop, DSP, radar signal processing, or embedded code generation as relevant

Key requirements

  • Background in physics, electronics, mathematics or a related discipline
  • Industry experience with rigorous, creative problem-solving
  • Ability to approach challenges with both rigor and creativity
  • Eligible for UK security clearance (required)
  • Defence experience is helpful but not essential
