Overview

As Pensions Administration Manager, you will lead a multi-client pension administration service within our Outsourcing Ops. You’ll drive customer-focused delivery, ensuring quality and adherence to governance frameworks across teams. You’ll represent the service in client and trustee discussions and support new business pitches with travel as needed. This role combines leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on problem solving to sustain growth and improve member experience. You’ll influence change and build a collaborative, high-performance culture that scales with the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee pension administration service delivery for a multi-client team
  • Ensure quality and performance objectives and adherence to change, QA, and operational excellence frameworks
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager on commercially-focused decisions affecting service delivery, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure Team Leads follow internal procedures, policies, and legislation
  • Maintain optimum team productivity with measurable metrics
  • Foster a collaborative, flexible culture across the community of teams
  • Act as the go-to contact for client teams and participate in client/trustee calls on project deliverables
  • Lead administration in new business pitches and present to prospects (travel may be required)
  • Support staffing and training plans to maximise quality, efficiency, and productivity
  • Support the adoption of new processes and procedures with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Establish and maintain line-management structures and consistency across the team
  • Operate in a client-facing environment with critical thinking to drive deeper discussions
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and assist with conflict resolution and removing blockers

Key requirements

  • Experience dealing with DB occupational schemes (essential); DC pensions beneficial
  • Pensions Team Leader experience (essential)
  • Excellent eye for detail; intermediate Excel knowledge
  • Track record of building high-performing, fast-paced teams
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience developing and implementing staffing and training plans
  • Proven ability to drive process changes and adopt new procedures with a solution mindset
  • Ability to foster a one-team culture and develop future leaders
  • Experience in a client-facing environment with strong critical thinking and multi-project management
