Overview

In this leadership role, you guide advanced environmental water quality work for clients across the UK and Ireland, shaping solutions for natural and urban catchments. You will lead multi-disciplinary programmes, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with project managers to deliver sustainable outcomes. You’ll address pollution sources, pathways and receptors, contributing to water quality across the full water cycle. This role offers a chance to drive environmental change at scale while developing talent in a fast-evolving field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver complex, multi-disciplinary programmes in water quality
  • Identify pollution sources, pathways and receptors and develop mitigation solutions
  • Coordinate across water, energy and infrastructure sectors to support clients
  • Oversee WINEP studies, marine/inland water quality modelling, storm overflow investigations, and catchment risk assessments
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with project managers to ensure successful outcomes
  • Integrate urban and natural environment expertise to improve environmental performance

Key requirements

  • Degree in an appropriate discipline
  • Ten years of experience across the water industry
  • Proven track record in managing challenging environmental projects related to wastewater assets
  • Familiarity with UK environmental quality legislation
  • Strong client, regulator and stakeholder communication skills
