Overview

As an Engineer Surveyor at TÜV SÜD, you will perform statutory inspections of lifting equipment at customer sites, ensuring compliance and timely delivery. You will coordinate with planning to optimise inspection routes and maintain high service standards. You’ll join a team focused on safety, quality, and client service while developing your technical and regulatory expertise. This role offers hands-on inspection work with meaningful impact on equipment safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections/examinations of lifting equipment and accessories per statutory regulations
  • Manage stock control, data entries and related day-to-day processes
  • Perform LOLER / PUWER inspections on lifting equipment
  • Complete paperwork according to company procedures
  • Build rapport with clients and provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare site inspection reports per regulations
  • Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations
  • Perform other duties as required

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the Lift Industry
  • Mechanical/Electrical skills
  • EOR 202/SAFed LR1
  • Excellent IT skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Team player with proactive attitude and ability to adapt to change and self-development
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Desirable: NVQ 3 minimum in Mechanical/Electrical (highly advantageous)
