Overview
As a Senior Consultant Solution Architect in Deloitte’s Insurance practice, you design and deliver innovative technology solutions that transform insurance operations. You’ll translate business needs into technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to guide architecture decisions and contribute to thought leadership. This role offers exposure to market-leading insurers, ongoing learning, and meaningful impact shaping insurance technology across the value chain.

Responsibilities
- Lead client workshops to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to technical design, produce design docs, and collaborate with architects and developers
- Document technical requirements, create user stories, and help maintain the product roadmap
- Develop architectural artefacts (high-level designs, reference architectures, integration designs) under guidance
- Govern design quality, support design reviews, and ensure programmes follow best practices
- Define solution architecture artefacts across infrastructure, applications, data, and integration
- Evaluate technologies and platforms for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
- Stay current on cloud, AI/ML, automation, and data analytics to identify innovative opportunities
- Contribute to growth of practice through thought leadership and industry trends
- Support business development activities including pre-sales and client presentations
- Engage in practice development and promote diversity and inclusion
- Pursue ongoing education and certifications to stay updated
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Experience in a leading insurer, broker, insurance tech or consulting firm with design & delivery of insurance platforms
- Understanding of General Insurance operations and technology landscape
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience documenting solutions (integration diagrams, non-functional requirements, high/low-level designs)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with SDLC and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
