Associate – Real Estate Finance

Overview

In this role you join a London-based real estate finance team to support complex domestic and cross-border financing deals. You will work with lenders and borrowers on a broad mix of asset classes, gaining early responsibility and client exposure. You’ll draft and negotiate finance documents, coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions, and help drive client relationships in a collaborative, growth-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of real estate finance transactions (development, investment, acquisition, PRS, hotel/leisure, student accommodation, logistics and office)
• Act for lenders and borrowers, including banks, debt funds, insurers, investors, developers and property companies
• Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documents
• Support partners and senior associates on complex, structured deals
• Assist with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing
• Manage workstreams and execution across multiple deals
• Contribute to client relationship management and business development
• Collaborate within a high-performing, supportive team environment

Key requirements

• 1+ year PQE in real estate finance or broader banking/finance
• Strong academic record
• Solid understanding of general finance principles and transaction structures
• Experience working on real estate finance transactions
• Strong drafting and document negotiation skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
