Overview
In this role you will own the tendering and commercial process within a family-run construction business. You’ll work from the office and collaborate with Directors, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support growth and project delivery. You’ll be involved across the project lifecycle, from pricing to cost control, in a close-knit team that values loyalty and integrity. This is an opportunity to shape commercial outcomes on domestic and commercial projects in a steady, long-term environment.

Responsibilities
- Produce accurate tenders and estimates for domestic and commercial projects
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Source and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare budgets and cost plans
- Monitor project costs and profitability
- Manage variations and additional works
- Prepare subcontract packages and procurement schedules
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage multiple tenders and live projects simultaneously
Key requirements
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience in construction
- Ability to price and tender projects independently
- Strong understanding of domestic and commercial construction
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Full UK Driving Licence
