In this role you join a collaborative software team shaping radiotherapy systems used worldwide. You will contribute to end-to-end software development, from design to deployment, across UI, backend, and integrations, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety-critical requirements. You’ll help drive Agile delivery and continuous improvement to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support patient care. Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain software applications used within radiotherapy treatment systems
- Deliver full stack development across C#, .NET, WPF and C++, covering UI, backend and system integrations
- Improve software quality via automated testing, code reviews and CI practices
- Support migration of applications to containerised and microservices-based environments
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions
- Contribute to Agile planning, sprint activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support safety-critical software development activities ensuring quality and regulatory compliance
- Share knowledge and foster a positive engineering culture
Key requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the SDLC
- Experience with unit testing, automation and CI/CD practices
- Collaborative approach with Agile development teams
- Strong problem-solving and structured delivery
- Excellent communication across stakeholders
- Experience supporting Agile delivery activities (sprint planning, backlog refinement, Scrum ceremonies) would be beneficial
- Experience in regulated industries, embedded systems, containerisation or modern cloud technologies would be an advantage
