Overview
As an Electronics/Hardware Engineer you will contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from concept through prototyping, testing and final delivery. You’ll work with software and mechanical engineers to design cutting-edge hardware and bring ideas to life on real products. The role offers variety, ownership and impact, with opportunities to tackle challenging technical problems. A clear hook is your ability to deliver robust hardware for innovative technology, with security clearance a prerequisite.
Responsibilities
- Contribute across the full product development lifecycle from concept to final delivery
- Design electronic hardware and create schematics
- PCB design and board bring-up, including prototyping and validation
- Perform hardware testing and document technical results
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate systems
- Communicate protocols such as SPI and I2C within hardware designs
- Produce clear technical documentation and specifications
- Engage in projects requiring UK Security Clearance (SC) compliance
Key requirements
- Electronic hardware design experience
- Schematic capture and PCB design
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools
- Hardware testing, validation and documentation
- Knowledge of SPI and I2C protocols
- SC clearance eligibility
- Exposure to hardware integration with embedded software (bonus)
- Ability to work across full lifecycle from concept to delivery
