Overview

In this role you support the New Business & Conflicts team by reviewing PRQs and conflict submissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with firm policies. You will enter and analyze conflicts data, coordinate with Finance, and help maintain data quality for risk management and business development. You work with cross-functional teams to process lateral hires and new business checks, driving efficient, compliant onboarding. This position offers opportunities to influence data integrity and risk controls within a global law firm.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze research reports for conflicts and scope in collaboration with NB&C leadership
  • Data entry and analysis of conflicts data from conflict check requests
  • Monitor data quality and support data repurposing for finance, business development, knowledge management, and risk management
  • Ensure timely processing of lateral and conflict requests
  • Communicate with stakeholders per firm policies (email/phone)
  • Review PRQs for accuracy and completeness for lateral hires
  • Coordinate with recruiting on additional details for candidates
  • Prioritize urgent requests from the lateral inbox
  • Cross-reference conflict reports for new hires
  • Enforce risk management processes and procedures
  • Coordinate NBC training and outreach initiatives
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Identify and support customer service needs

Key requirements

  • College degree or comparable experience preferred
  • 1–2 years data intake processing and customer service experience
  • Experience with legal or conflicts database preferred
  • Experience with business financial operations preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with lawyers and personnel at all levels
  • Team-oriented, collaborative mindset
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and firm policies
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word; familiarity with conflicts/workflow/intake software
