Production Planner

Overview

In this role you will develop and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing manufacturing resources. You’ll collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Projects to balance demand, material availability and capacity across multiple product lines. You will convert orders into actionable plans, monitor materials and capacity, and keep ERP/MRP data accurate. You’ll participate in planning reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in planning, visibility and flow. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and coordinate production plans to meet customer delivery and resource constraints
• Balance customer demand, material availability, capacity and priorities across multiple product lines
• Ensure plans are realistic, visible and deliverable; escalate risks before impact
• Convert customer orders, demand signals and project requirements into manufacturing plans
• Monitor material availability and capacity; keep ERP/MRP data accurate
• Support daily/weekly planning reviews with clear priorities, risks and actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, schedule adherence and production flow
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Project teams

Key requirements

• Experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, scheduling, or materials control in manufacturing/electronics/high-reliability environments
• Good working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
• Strong Excel skills
• Understanding of production flow, capacity planning, material availability and WIP management
• Organised, detail-focused and able to communicate with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain
