As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in our Medical Devices group, you will lead the electronics development of new devices in a regulated environment. You join a multi-disciplinary R&D team in state-of-the-art labs near Cambridge and help shape next‑generation medical technologies. You will drive multi-layered electronics architectures and coordinate with mechanical, physics, and science experts to deliver market-ready systems. Responsibilities

  • Lead electronics design for new medical devices
  • Develop and own multi-layered electronics architectures
  • Collaborate with mechanical, physics, and science teams across disciplines
  • Work in a regulated environment, contributing to device safety and compliance
  • Support transition from development to market with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Contribute to regulatory and standards considerations (ISO 13485, EN 60601, IEC 62304)
  • Mentor engineering colleagues and drive technical decisions
  • Engage with recruiters and leadership to align on project milestones

Key requirements

  • Experience in multi-layered architecture of Medical Devices
  • Additional experience from highly regulated sectors (automotive, aerospace, scientific) is valuable
  • Industry experience is prioritized over formal degree
  • Ability to work in a cross-disciplinary team
  • Desirable familiarity with ISO 13485, EN 60601, IEC 62304
