Overview
In this role you drive growth across strategic accounts in the UK and Northern Europe, owning the full Vertiv portfolio to expand orders and account share. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience, align solutions to client needs, and develop long-term partnerships. You will guide bids, pricing, and pipeline activities while promoting Vertiv offerings and reporting on progress. This position offers impact by expanding market share and shaping account strategies in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic accounts in UK and Northern Europe, aiming to grow orders and share of wallet across the full Vertiv portfolio
- Drive sales profitability and build strong relationships with end-users, contractors, and consultants
- Collaborate daily with Solutions Architect, Application Engineering, and technical support to ensure best-in-class customer experience
- Identify stakeholders, maintain high customer satisfaction, and promote Vertiv solutions across accounts
- Inform accounts about new products and services; coordinate with sales force to generate proposals
- Prepare competitive bid solutions and maintain CRM data and reporting
- Coordinate with project delivery to meet customer expectations and deliver compliant solutions
- Conduct regular account reviews to uncover new opportunities aligned with client goals
- Lead marketing activities to support account development and pipeline generation
- Manage account plans, quarterly goals, pricing, bid consistency, and forecasting to drive results
- Participate in pipeline reviews and market monitoring to identify opportunities and action plans
- Deliver presentations to stakeholders on capabilities, technical value, and opportunities
- Develop relationships with key market players to map opportunities and enquiries
- Utilize reporting/forecasting tools to improve pipeline discipline and forecast accuracy
- Aim to increase Vertiv market share and exceed sales targets within ethical guidelines
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, market intelligence, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate ownership through ethical, proactive, and accountable work behavior
- Travel may be required, including occasional overnight stays
Key requirements
- Minimum 6 years in Sales and Account Management
- Strong experience in business negotiations and relationship building
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building capability
- Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
