Product Engineer – M365 Unified Collaboration & Gen AI

Overview

In this role, you will design, build, and support M365-based collaboration and Gen AI solutions to enhance colleague experience and business value. You will work within an engineering team to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technical outcomes, focusing on deployment and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with Barclays engineering standards and drive continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role emphasizing delivery, security, and scalability in a Knutsford-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deliver and maintain infrastructure solutions and M365/AI-enabled capabilities to meet business needs with reliability and performance
• Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance; diagnose, address, and resolve issues and outages; use data to reduce mean time to resolution
• Automate tasks and processes using scripting/coding to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
• Implement secure configurations and controls to protect hardware, software and data from cyber threats
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster excellence

Key requirements

• Copilot, AI Agents & Power Platform Engineering: hands-on design/delivery of M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and enterprise automation
• M365 Platform Expertise: Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, M365 Groups, Entra ID; integration and authentication
• Security, Identity & Enterprise Controls: RBAC, DLP, environment management, governance, and secure operating models
• Microsoft Graph, PowerShell & Automation: automation and tooling via Graph APIs, PowerShell, REST APIs
• Azure & Enterprise Integration: design/support integrations with Azure services and external platforms
• Engineering Tooling & DevOps: GitHub/GitLab, Visual Studio, Jenkins, CI/CD, source control, DevOps practices
