As Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will join the estates team to deliver operations, maintenance and building services that meet contractual obligations. You will work with cross-functional colleagues to keep HVAC assets compliant and well-documented, supporting safe, high-quality facilities for patients, staff and visitors. Your role blends hands-on maintenance with proactive problem-solving to improve asset reliability and service delivery. Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance to HVAC systems across the estate
- Perform diagnostic checks, fault finding and repairs using multiskilled knowledge
- Ensure assets are maintained according to contractual requirements, HTMs, HBMs and manufacturers’ instructions
- Accurately complete all work-related documentation and update CAFM systems promptly
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Key requirements
- NVQ Level 2 minimum in plumbing or mechanical engineering
- Experience in a maintenance environment (healthcare experience advantageous)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team
