Overview

In this role you lead technical due diligence across renewable energy assets, shaping how engineering insight informs AI-enabled products. You will partner with product, engineering, commercial and data science teams to translate technical knowledge into valuable client solutions. You drive high-quality assessments for investors and lenders while defining standard methodologies and mentoring the team. Your work supports a fast-growing platform that improves transaction efficiency and risk insight in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical due diligence projects across wind, solar and battery energy storage systems
  • Manage end-to-end due diligence for acquisitions, financings and portfolio transactions
  • Review technical docs, designs, construction progress, performance and project risks
  • Produce and review technical due diligence reports for investors, lenders and developers
  • Advise stakeholders on technical risks and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with AI and product teams to embed engineering knowledge into digital tools
  • Define best practice methodologies and standardise assessment processes
  • Build relationships with clients, investors, developers and partners across Europe
  • Mentor junior technical professionals

Key requirements

  • Significant experience leading technical due diligence in a recognised engineering consultancy or advisory
  • Extensive experience supporting renewable energy transactions in UK/Europe
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar PV, wind (onshore/offshore) and battery storage
  • Experience working with investors, lenders, developers or infrastructure funds
  • Excellent understanding of project development, engineering, construction and operational risk
  • Outstanding report writing and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
