Overview

In this Field Sales role, you’ll manage and grow a Government and Public Sector portfolio, focusing on renewals, cross-sell and upsell opportunities. You will build long-term stakeholder relationships to position D&B solutions that address procurement and operational needs. The role combines strategic account management with new business development across Central Government, Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and Universities. You’ll work in a collaborative, data-driven environment to drive revenue growth and account health. This is an impact-focused opportunity to shape public sector outcomes with market-leading analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted advisor to Public Sector organizations, engaging key decision-makers
  • Manage and grow a portfolio via renewals, retention, and proactive engagement
  • Develop new business within existing accounts and across the Public Sector through cross-sell, upsell, and new acquisition
  • Understand procurement frameworks, purchasing processes, funding models, and buying cycles
  • Own sales opportunities end-to-end, including negotiations and contracting
  • Navigate complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles across Public Sector bodies
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate account, opportunity, and forecasting data in Salesforce (SFDC) and other tools
  • Develop deep relationships across the Public Sector through virtual and face-to-face engagements

Key requirements

  • Some field sales experience or at least 4 years in Inside Sales / Relationship Management
  • Experience selling into Public Sector is a benefit
  • Experience with senior sales stakeholders to support campaigns
  • Proven success closing sales and meeting/exceeding quotas
  • Ability to assess client environments and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and territory/account planning
