As Senior Site Manager at Vistry South East Midlands, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects hit deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. You’ll lead site teams, coordinate resources, and enforce health and safety while collaborating with contractors, suppliers, partners and customers. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations to meet specifications, timelines and budgets
- Direct labour, equipment and resources to complete projects on time and within budget
- Monitor progress, address delays or risks promptly, and conduct regular site inspections
- Coordinate with Buying and Surveying teams for timely procurement of materials and services
- Manage site teams, monitor performance and implement corrective actions
- Attend weekly site sales executive meetings
- Ensure permits and inspections are secured
- Conduct inductions for new personnel and subcontractors on safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and project documentation
- Support site logistics for material storage and availability
- Oversee project closeout and ensure documentation is submitted
- Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations
- Develop and lead staff to maintain morale and performance; support training and development
- Ensure 100% NHBC standards and building regulations compliance
- Conduct appraisals and address development needs with HR support
- Foster a harassment-free work environment
Key requirements
- Proven background in new build housing site management
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Able to work both in a team and autonomously
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Good attention to detail and strong time management
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Outlook)
- Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and communicate at all levels
