Occupational Disease Solicitor (Newly Qualified)

Overview

In this role you will support a respected defendant insurance team in Birmingham, handling occupational disease claims with a focus on NIHL and asbestos-related work. You’ll assist senior lawyers on high-value litigation while also managing your own files, building technical expertise and confidence. The role offers excellent training, clear progression, and a collaborative, fast-paced environment with hybrid working. Responsibilities

• Support senior lawyers on complex, high-value litigation
• Manage own files to develop technical expertise
• Review medical and expert evidence for occupational disease claims
• Handle Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims with accuracy
• Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused work environment
• Engage with high-quality work from day one and maintain professional standards

Key requirements

• Experience handling occupational disease claims
• Background in defendant personal injury or occupational disease litigation
• Experience with Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims
• Confident reviewing medical and expert evidence
• Comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Newly Qualified Solicitor or Senior Paralegal
