Overview

As Financial Accountant at Jagex, you will oversee group consolidations, statutory accounts, and the external audit process to ensure timely, accurate reporting. You’ll work with PwC and internal teams to streamline the holding structure and support tax and accounting changes during a transition period, including ERP readiness. This role sits within the Finance team, contributing to month-end close, management reporting, and process improvements. You’ll join a collaborative environment that values integrity, precision, and cross-functional collaboration, with a clear impact on financial discipline and business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Audit management and statutory accounts preparation for legacy entities, including audited consolidated accounts
  • Proactive management of the external audit process with PwC and internal teams to provide audit evidence and respond to queries
  • Structural simplification of the holding structure, including intercompany balances and instruments
  • Assess tax implications of structural changes in partnership with the Group Tax Manager
  • Support for a potential new ERP implementation and preparation for transition
  • Assist with audit of Jagex Ltd and the Janus entity structure ensuring reporting accuracy
  • Assist month-end close processes and enhance management reporting
  • Improve internal and external reporting processes

Key requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a group finance or external reporting environment with consolidation and group-level reporting
  • Proven experience in multi-currency group consolidations and managing external audit teams
  • Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, loan balances, and tax implications
  • Strong communication and collaboration across teams
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive problem-solving approach
