Overview

In this role, you will manage a mixed caseload of family matters end to end with a client-focused approach, negotiating to secure the best outcomes. You will work within a growing Family law team at Co-op Legal Services, contributing to excellent client experience and team knowledge sharing. The role blends hands-on casework with targets and optional leadership responsibilities for senior or lead hires. Responsibilities

  • own a mixed caseload of family matters and actively negotiate outcomes
  • use the case management system to ensure accurate information
  • meet individual and team chargeable time and profit targets
  • draft and audit legal documents and correspondence
  • leadership responsibilities for senior/lead hires including mentoring junior staff
  • lead delegation and subject-matter expertise at lead level, contributing to strategic positioning and promotion of the department

Key requirements

  • solicitor or CILEX qualified with experience in privately funded family law
  • proven track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets
  • good IT skills including use of a case management system
  • strong relationship-building and collaborative working style
