Overview

In Expedia Group’s Search Product & Optimization team, you own the bidding platform end-to-end and drive autonomous, data-driven optimization. You’ll shape the strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market for bidding across search, metasearch, and performance channels. You define transparent decision-making, monitoring, and scalability to build trust with partners. You collaborate with scientists, engineers, and marketing leaders to balance innovation, stability, and platform health. Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market for bidding platform across search, metasearch, and performance channels
  • Lead development of autonomous bidding system with target-aware models, control systems, elasticity measurement, and partner connectivity
  • Define how bidding decisions are made, executed, and monitored with transparent, auditable, scalable product experiences
  • Partner with scientists, engineers, marketing leaders, and other stakeholders to balance innovation, production stability, and platform health
  • Establish metrics and operating cadences to measure bidding performance, reliability, adoption, and operational efficiency, translating insights into priorities
  • Use systems thinking and storytelling to align leaders on complex problems, build feedback loops in releases and migrations, and improve performance at scale

Key requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience owning technical or platform products end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market planning
  • Advanced understanding of machine learning and marketing technology; ability to partner with scientists and engineers on optimization, experimentation, elasticity, orchestration, and algorithm-driven decision systems
  • Deep data-driven approach with ability to define metrics, interpret relationships, and translate analysis into product decisions
  • Systems thinker with ability to work across functions to define complex problem spaces and measure impact across an interconnected ecosystem
  • Influential communicator with interest in advertising technology, bidding markets, auctions, automation, and decision systems; comfortable operating in ambiguity
