Overview
In this role you will work within Curtins’ Bristol Structures team to inspect, assess and retrofit existing buildings, while also contributing to new-build design across diverse sectors. You will manage projects with early responsibility, including site visits and leading your own initiatives from day one. The position connects hands-on technical work with a wider portfolio of significant building projects locally. Responsibilities
- Inspect, assess, and retrofit existing buildings
- Contribute to design of new structures across sectors
- Lead small to medium-sized projects with limited supervision
- Perform inspections, surveys, and assessments, and support reuse/retrofit efforts
- Engage in site visits and early project responsibility
Key requirements
- Structural design experience, ideally in a consultancy environment
- Proven track record leading small to medium-sized projects independently
- Comfort with a varied portfolio: inspections, surveys, assessments, reuse/retrofit and new-build design
- Actively progressing within a professional institution (ICE/ IStructE or equivalent) training pathway
