Overview

As an Associate Cost Manager/Commercial Manager for infrastructure projects, you shape cost strategy, governance and commercial outcomes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to monitor budgets, forecast costs, and manage contract changes, driving value engineering and timely final accounts. The role involves close collaboration with clients and contractors to deliver on programme objectives and KPIs. This is a chance to influence major infrastructure programmes in a global, collaborative firm.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional client and stakeholder relationships
  • Administer contracts per project objectives and policies
  • Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion
  • Proactively monitor cost variance and contract cash flow; ensure timely applications
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs, programme performance and value engineering
  • Manage contract changes to stay within governance and best practices
  • Improve forecast accuracy and budget adherence
  • Provide sound commercial support to stakeholders; negotiate final accounts
  • Lead people and commissions as needed

Key requirements

  • Proven cost/commercial management experience
  • MRICS (preferred)
  • NEC3 contracts (Option C – Target Cost) experience
  • Post-contract administration experience
  • Experience on major programmes and infrastructure projects
